Why A FREE Bookmobile?
To Promote Equity by Providing Access to Books
We believe that free access to books is a key part of eliminating the radical inequality between those who have access to books and those who do not have access to books.
What The Research Says
Children from low-income neighborhoods have less access to books than children from middle income neighborhoods. In middle income neighborhoods, there are 13 books for every child. By contrast, in low income neighborhoods there is only 1 book for every 300 children. Beloved Books Bookmobile hopes to help solve this problem by providing free access to books to children in under-resourced areas.
